wall of Sariputta Room, and garden on West side of Australia Pond.
Opening up of the path running between the Sariputta Room and the
Australia pond.

from the humus heap at the western end of driveway to several garden
beds. Spreading over the soil excavated from the dining room
foundation heaped along the Eastern fence line near the Australia

the Lysterfield Landfill Site.
Photographs of the completed works were taken and will be loaded with BSB82 to www.bsbonline.com.au
Front Entrance floor reconstruction
Recently, stumps holes have been dug from Buddhist students from Monash University and La Trobe University. They will visit every Friday to help us.
Work
has progressed on the reconstruction of the front entrance. Concrete
stumps were cemented into place on Saturday 23 November 2002.
Each
stump hole has been dug to a regulation depth of 600cm in accordance
with local building regulations.
Before the first stumps were
cemented in place, offerings of incense, flowers, perfumed oil and
copper wire were offered into the stump holes as offerings to the
Nagas and Heavenly protectors of the old entrance room requesting
their help and protection.
The offerings were made by Julian
Bamford and Frank Carter.
The work was guided by our Teacher
John D. Hughes and assisted by Anita M. Hughes.
Prior to
cementing the stumps into the ground sole plates were placed into the
stump holes.
Completion of stumping for front entrance
The work to complete the project took approximately 5 hours and a total of 23 person hours.
To
complete this stage of the project, each stump has had a metal ant
cap fitted. The names of all the persons who have worked on the
project to date have been painted onto the antcaps in 22-carat gold
paint. The painting work was done by Frank Carter.
The
persons names inscribed are:
